Puppies And Christmas Gifts (toys)?
This is our first Christmas having our puppy. He’s a Yorkie and about 9mts old.
My kids first voiced their concern wondering what Barkley (our puppy) will do with all the gifts Santa leaves them. They were worried he’d chew them up! lol
I have yet to even think about this. He leaves the gifts under the tree alone which is nice. Plus we are good now about keeping stuff up that could harm him and keeping special toys put up.
We don’t crate him at night, but may start due to house training problems.
The gifts from Santa are left unwrapped. (He made them so why wrap them. lol : ) This is our family tradition.
My kids suggested we lock Barkley in the bedroom with my husband & I to prevent him from chewing on the toys, but this would mean a sleepless night for hubby and I. He’s scratch on the door all night.
Any ideas? We could put some on the sofa & a chair I guess. My husband isn’t worried though. How did your dog or puppy react to their first Christmas and Santa’s gifts.

Do a trial run and put tons of toys under the tree and see what he does to the stuff, if he does okay, Santa can leave stuff under the tree.
My dog had a mini breakdown because he was showered in treats he loved..Like bacon strips!What im saying is give him some night snacks/treats and a peanut butter covered bone to keep him chewing on it and if he doesn’t have a bed give him a nice poofy fury bed that is rather warm ^^ He will love it!
Well I can honestly tell you from own personal expierences with my dogs, if your gone during the day they stay in the pet taxi’s rather its nap time or bed time or if I’m gone from home for any given time.. Made that mistake and left my two dogs got into a box of brand new kleenexs
My gosh my living room look like a white snow all over the place took me forever to clean it all up!!

heyy well you could give it a dog tag that has a picture on the front and on the back your phone number and the dogs name so barkley thats wat i gave my dog or sum chew toys
give him a thick rawhide bone to chew on and none of my puppies ever chewed on christmas presents ever
